It’s been quite a year, hasn’t it Lions? While we’re all looking forward to a little R&R over the break, we wanted to show you some of our favourite posts from the previous term. As York continues to provide students with online resources to help them succeed at university, our Remote Learning 101 series aims to inform students of all the services they have access to during these unprecedented times. The posts provide a quick breakdown of the important resources that are still available online, as well as several helpful links for this unique term.
Success Tip: Bookmark our post on the Learning Commons ahead of next term. They implemented some fantastic new resources over the Fall, including a refresh of their website as well as several new features, including the Welcome Desk. This is definitely one for you to bookmark for when midterms are back in our lives!

Winter Break’s are a good time to reflect. Now is a good time to take a moment to think about what’s next, whether you’re a first-year student looking for a summer job or internship, or a graduating student thinking about your career after York, this new module and our breakdown will help you kick-start that career search.
Five Productivity Apps to Stay on Track

This is fun one and is super helpful any time of the year. If you’re looking for some apps on your phone or desktop that will help you stay motivated through the Winter, this is the post for you. Whether you need help organizing a planner at the beginning of the term or you need help managing your study schedule in crunch time, this post has plenty of free and other affordable options to help you stay on track for personal success!
Creative Writing for the Winter Break

This is another great post if you are looking for some things to do over the break. There are a ton of great creative writing opportunities for York students that offer real cash prizes as well as mentorship and help with your piece. The best part? Anyone can apply! So if you have some time to yourself or you’ve always wanted to show your writing to someone that can give you some promising feedback, check out the options in this post!
Making the Most Out of Reading Week

We know that this post is about Reading Week in October, but all of these tips are very important for any break at University, so that you’re always ready. There are some very helpful wellness tips in this post, as well as some tips on how to manage your schedule in the upcoming term.
