Orientation week is halfway over (noooo, the horror) but thankfully there are still some upcoming -FREE- events to enjoy. Whether you purchased a frosh kit or not, you do not want to miss out!

Lion’s Pride

This is only the biggest and bestest spirit rally you’ve ever seen! Watch (and participate) as York’s many colleges face off and get pumped up with uncontrollable YU Spirit. This event starts at 11am  in the York Commons (in front of Vari Hall) so make sure you show up! Below you can find some great pictures taken from last years event.

Pre-Game Prep

My favourite York hoody, back when I had long hair. What’s your favourite York swag?

Because this is such a high spirit day, make sure you wear your favourite York swag or any red and white clothing. Feel to go above and beyond with face and body point, or any other decorations – the crazier, the better!

Football Frenzy

Starting at 1pm, the annual Football Frenzy game is sure to get you excited for the year ahead! This event is open to ALL York students and this year our Lions face the Western Mustangs. Show your support by attending and cheering them to victory.

You can hear the Lions rumble…

Our York U Lions have been working hard in preparation for the game, make sure to check out their inside look video below (it’s really good!).

Post-Game Fun

Your day doesn’t have to end with the game! You could have a nice evening stroll with your new friends and see what’s left to explore. You could also grab a bite to eat at one of York’s many eateries. The weather is definitely supposed to be nice, so you may as well squeeze out every minute of fun you can!
