Hopefully by now you have at least browsed through York’s scholarships page and made note of the criteria for applying for financial awards. While browsing, you probably noticed the term Student Financial Profile (SFP) at least more than once. So what exactly is this profile and how does it work?
The Student Financial Profile is an online application that is used to apply for internal scholarships, bursaries and on-campus employment opportunities. All direct-entry undergraduate students at York are encouraged to fill out the SFP once they are accepted. The SFP should be completed at the start of each academic session (once for Fall/Winter and once for Summer).
The profile will ask a number of questions, mostly regarding your current financial situation. Once completed, students can easily apply for financial awards through the site simply by clicking which ones they wish to apply to. Criteria for each award is also listed.
The Entrance Student Financial Profile for students applying for the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 academic session will be available from December 1, 2012 to May 1, 2013.
